  • Not Even Black Friday madness

So the big item has and always will be the Wii. It is currently our most popular item and more annoying for the fact that we get a handful of them in stock and never see them again until the next time the warehouse decides to grace us with them.

Today we happened to have over a hundred boxes in stock. Why can't we put them out, do you ask? Because they're for the Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales and we need them for the weekend. If it says a certain date on the box I can't bring it out. And since I can't even go into the area where the Wii's and other high risk electronics are stored without a manager key it really is their call what I can and can't bring to the floor.

Is this my fault? Ohhh, you betcha. Cause I make the policy you know.

But my favorite of all today had to be the customers from Mass. Now, understand that our J-Mart location is the nearest location to North Adams and a few other Massechusetts towns since the North Adams location was closed down years ago.

However, because the Mass stores will be closed for Thanksgiving they have sent out a flyer for their sale which is today at Wednesday. And it has been one customer after another asking us why we don't honor those sales.

Because, people, it even clearly says this is for the Mass. Stores only. Yes, I know there isn't a K-mart in North Adams. That doesn't change the fact that we are not required to honor a flyer from that state. We're open tomorrow. Isn't that enough for you that we won't get to spend Thanksgiving with our families while we serve you?

No major incidents stand out but it's been an amalgam of these two complaints.

Sounds like this year there's gonna be more whine and cheese than turkey for thanksgiving.
