So we did have a bunch of temps in the morning. I think we had about 75 in during the beginning of our Black Friday sale. Overall, a lot of the temps don't know anything or don't care. So maybe what the girl is saying was true.
So I worked Saturday and we had this huge sale on movies where normal 20 dollar movies were 5 dollars. First the lady said she called and was told the sale was two days. No, it wasn't. Now, if she had called she would have gotten an electronics associate. I didn't tell her that. Then she said that her daughter called. Still the same situation. Then it turned into her daughter came in and talked to a young gentlemen.
Now, she wanted a certain child's movie that would usually run around 20 dollars. We did have a special edition for 20 dollars and I don't recall this movie being in the sale. However, I came in later so I might have been wrong. The other associate who worked that morning didn't recall it. No one did. Well, she talked to the manager who said if we could find the two movies she named, he'd give it to her. Problem was, we couldn't find it.
So instead of giving up, she complains to the manager to get another movie that was on sale. He did give it to her just to get her out of his hair because he made us search for the stuff through carts of returns. He didn't realize how much of a mess it would be.
---
Second story was a manager's fault. She approved a buy one item get one item free. We don't accept it but whatever. I then pointed out that hey, today isn't the 27th. The manager said to give it to her. The girl apologized a lot for it because she didn't read the ad date.
---
Third story was more annoying because a woman wanted a wii that our competition was selling. We don't price match all ads, only ones considered local competition. Well, she started throwing a hissy fit saying that hey, I work at the one ten minutes away and we have to accept all ads. Well, does this look like the store you work at? Plus you saw me ask a form of a manager who called an assistant. They did give it to her, but I should have pointed out that it was an employee of a neighboring store throwing a fit. Ten to one that she knew the stores usually wouldn't price match that ad.
