While part of me is annoyed at the unmitigated gall that some people seem to have when it comes to disregard for others property, I also can't help but be amused.
I come from a family of seven, two younger brothers and two younger sisters.
It was common reaction that if anyone went "Hey! Look at that!" you grabbed your plate, turned your whole body and went "Where?" or you were liable to end up with choice dinner items yanked.
I guess it made me grow up paranoid about my food on an open plate.
Now, what does tick me off in a similar fashion? In my various work-centers or even in regards to some of the room-mates I've had in the past: If I have a clearly marked container of food, a soda or such... And someone swipes it? That ticks me off, so I can understand your frustration.
