Yesterday, before I put the payment through, I asked the customer if he had his savings card since I couldn't remember if I had asked at the beginning of the order. The customer told me no in an annoyed tone that some people use when they want another person to stop talking.

For what it's worth, I try to keep little things like this from getting to me by reminding myself that I really don't care what the customers think ;D
As for the customer, it could be anything from poor social skills to having a bad day to simply being a douchewaffle -- take your pick, whichever works for you
