The weather in the UK is awful at the minute. We are having the worst snow storms in 40 years, and the country has been brought to a near enough stand still. A satalitte photo was taken of the country, and it seriously looks like The Day After Tomorrow here. As I've mentioned in previous posts, I have to get the bus to work. I just managed to get there, but was getting concerned about my journey back. So was my manager.
The pub was very quiet, which was good because a lot of staff just gave up trying to get to work. It was two hours before the kitchen was due to close, when manager walked in.
M: Customersruinmylife, I'm closing the kitchen now. The snow is getting worse and if I don't let you go now, you'll never get home.
Me: OK, thanks, I'll just finish up and go.
I spend about 15 minutes closing down, and headed out. I got changed, and was just saying goodbye to my co-workers, when I heard a woman screech.
SC: YOU SELFISH LITTLE PIG!!
She was saying it to me.
Me: Excuse me?
SC: The kitchen is closed! My group wanted to order food!
Me: Well, I'm sorry about that, but I don't live around here and I don't want to end up stranded.
SC: Pah! A little snow? I've seen much worse!
Me: Riiiiight...
I headed for the door.
SC: DON'T WALK AWAY WHEN THERE IS A CUSTOMER COMPLAINING!
I carried on walking. What a bitch. The buses weren't running in the end, and I had to call one of my parents and plead for a lift. If I hadn't left then, they would have gone to bed and I would never have got home.

for sure!
and school has been cancelled today. There hasn't been a single snow plough out all night to the roads are a death trap at the minute. I have a shift at the pub tonight, so that should be interesting because I doubt very much I am going to get there.
