As far as I know? No. The categories are usually pulled from the strengths of the contestants, so that they all have a category they have a shot in. That means it's nearly impossible to guarantee that it's even possible to mention Canada. I also know when I used to watch Jeopardy, they almost never mentioned Canada, though it was a long time ago (summer vacation during Junior High)

We have figured out that there is a clue writer on there that's from New Mexico given how much we wind up be answers and questions....so at least they know we're a state.Quoth Broomjockey View PostAs far as I know? I had never heard of it before GK's posts... but now it randomly shows up just to make my head explode. In a post-apocalyptic novel, on a canadian travel show (look.... snow... and polar bears) and other strange random places.Quoth Pagan View PostYeah, I saw that, too. Started giggling when I heard the clue.
I think it has to do with the fact that a lot of us have never heard of the place outside of this website. And then you factor in GK's stories. It just makes it amusing that it's the question to an answer on "Jeopardy".
Hummmm... honest question.
Was Nunavut created as one big April Fool's Joke???
Wikipedia says:
"On April 1, 1999 The Canadian Northwest Territories was split, and the territory now known as Nunavut came to be."
This just seems very appropriate...."Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!" - The Truman Show
