That's not some obscure reference to some Twilight fanfic is it? I'd go to a book burning if it was burning every copy of all the books the author of Twilight ever wrote.

calling her an author is kind of a stretch...author kind of implies that she can actually write.
As someone who wants to try and actually publish something one of these days those books actually give me a small bit of hope. There's even a demotivational poster out saying it.

If the Twight crap can get published and become to popular, then there's hope that my crap can too. Specially since you know I'm actually telling a story as opposed to writing something imagining myself back in high school and parading the destruction of women's rights.

Don't worry Bookbint I promise not to stalk you for advice on getting published. It's just rude unless I am calling you at work.

If you don't like the series you oughtn't do that. Authors generally don't mind if people are willing to buy and burn their books. Publishers will encourage it by printing more of them for you to burn.

Christopher Moore came into my town when Fool came out. When he was speaking he mentioned that he was hoping for protests when Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christs Childhood Pal came out. It turns out that is is used in seminaries for a light reading break.

I made a mistake with my first publisher, and paid to publish my other three. I'll probably pay for the last one (of the series, anyway) too.

Just because the people in seminaries love it doesn't mean no one will protest it. Look at the Harry Potter series. Actually, a lot of what my father-in-law (ordained minister) enjoys would probably cause some Christians to protest on theological grounds. He loves Curse of Chalion and Paladin of Souls, specifically for their theology.

              I googled it.

Now I have to get the brain bleach, and also go put my computer in the dishwasher to clean it off.

              bad fanfic...bad!
I read some of it and it is either unintentionally funny or one of the most brilliant parodies ever.

I was also reading http://encyclopediadramatica.com/My_Immortal and about fell out of the chair laughing at it.

                It was horrible...and boring.

I had to go read some Magnificent Seven (the tv show from the late 90s, and one of my current favorite fandoms) fanfic to remind myself there are good fanfic writers out right now.

Has he read Hallowed Hunt yet? It is set in a different part of the chalionverse, and IIRC several decades later. Deals with the form of shamanism - I really like fafa the polar bear =)

I'm sure he must have (he got me all three books for Christmas, they were on my list, and promptly borrowed them from me since I'd been ranting and raving and pushing Bujold on him), but I can't remember his comments. I think that because it's such a different story from the first two that he didn't bother re-reading it most recently, but he still liked it. He and my MIL read the first two out loud to each other, and found Paladin of Souls a great way to deal with hitting middle age and having both their kids move out...

Well, at least the bat-shit crazy "author" didn't come to your place of work. I don't know why, but it makes me think of the "playwrite" in the Producers who wrote Springtime for Hitler. That at least is funny.

Did the batshit crazy author rip off any Harry Potter stuff?

I want to read a historical fiction book about Anne Boylen surviving. Like it was a double, or just pull a deux a machina at the end.

I was also reading http://encyclopediadramatica.com/My_Immortal and about fell out of the chair laughing at it.
when I read the entry in ED, I thought the entry was made up, or just bs. It's sad it is right on the money. I dont' want to touch My Immortal with a ten-foot pole. Oh, have you read the entry for Twilight? That was beautiful, I keep on re-reading it.
Time! Time! Time is what turns kittens into cats.

Don't teach me a lesson; all I learn is that you are an asshole.

Maybe he should put it in the Original Fiction section of fanfiction.net? Maybe he'll find some adoring fans...or get flamed for not having a beta reader?
In which case, he'd get more fans if he made it a Harry Potter crossover, put in a drivelling Mary Sue and stuck a few lemons in it.

There are far worse fanfics than My Immortal around... Little Miss Mary and Subjugation spring instantly to mind. O.o If you feel like having your mind warped, I could probably link you in PM.

I doubt Bookbint can do that, since published or not, the work is the copywrighted property of Bat Shit Crazy Author.
