A person calls us at the library Fri. Feb. 12, and wants a list of online classes he can get bach. for math, physics, arch. engineering, computer software engineering and biology.
No, he can't go to the library to look this up because he is handicapped. No, he doesn't have a computer or internet. When I asked how was he going to take the classes he said he will get a computer latter.
It was too much to look up so I told him we will take his info. and call him back.
He has no phone number. So I get his address. He says he will call back, so I told him call back Tues.
You would think I would make time for this, but unfortunately I lost his request (though the request went first to email reference, and then assigned to me). I told one of the managers I lost it, could they resend it. And then my inbox got stuck, so I'm always 3 days behind.
So far, I don't think he called. But I figured, he must be one of those people who can't follow through. One, I see a lot of handicapped people come in. So unless he is hooked up to machines that are bigger than dressers, he really can't say he can't come in (now I expect someone to tell me how they have a disability that prevents them from leaving the house. Let me apologize for not knowing all the disabilities there are out there).
Two, all those different bachelors he wants? Really? I don't think he knows what he wants, except probably he was watching tv recently and saw something on the news/an informercial that makes him think going to school is a good idea, just he has no idea what he wants to do.
Three, no phone even? How the heck he even is calling us? Which social agency is he at that he scammed a phone call from? Wait, he can't leave his house, so he can't be at a social agency. But somehow he is calling me.
Four, this is way too much pudknocking work to get someone else to do. When he does get the information, either he will a) say he doesn't need it anymore or b) loose the info. the next day and call us again to give him the info. again 7 months from now or c) says, "what I really wanted was...."
ugh.
