Crazies at the yard sale

My parents house is way too full of junk, and we really need to clear it out, but my mom absolutely refuses to have a garage sale for this exact reason. "The last thing I need is crazy people wandering all over my property."

And that is why a flea market is a slightly better idea.

Sure, it's not nearly as convenient, and you have to have a way to haul it all out to one (a rented trailer is a good plan), but you don't have to worry about crazies knowing where you live (and that you collect certain types of things), having access to your house while you're distracted, having access to other stuff you don't want to sell, plus, you get a whole lot more exposure at a professional show.

As a bonus, if you have stuff you never want to see again that doesn't sell, you can use the local receptacles (if they haven't already been filled to overflowing) to dispose of some of it.

Just be sure to leave the packrat at home, or you'll end up coming home with useless junk you didn't leave the house owning.
