Please do THAT at home, sir (long, language & threats!)
This is more Sucky customer, than management (At least I think so.)
Way back in the day when I was 19 and going to school and working a full time job, I thought, "Hey, I have a few hours to myself - better get a part time job!" This was in part from a friend who worked at a fitness franchise that was Total. Was I too vague? Anyway, I was signed up as a Porter which basically was a cleaner for the machines and locker room areas. In an 8 hour shift I was told I had to do a start shift, mid shift, and end shift cleaning route - and as long as that was done, they would be happy. For what it was, the job was ok and I liked all of my co-workers, and the extra money helped pay for my classes. There was a very big downside though - the Club Members, customers, whatever name they gave them, were complete and total assholes. It was like a magic portal at the entrance, a person would walk in and a jerk would emerge - it seemed that their intelligence and manners were left at the door. Also, this particular club was one of the lower end sites, so we did not have a towel service, but we did have a pool, sauna, steamroom, and whirlpool. For some reason, this made the SC's decide walking around completely naked was ok. Also, it seemed the older the person the more obnoxious they would be. Nothing like washing the floor and having a 65 year old man, naked as can be, demanding he have a towel immediately. All of this is relavent to my story of how I was threatened at work.
Also on site was a daycare location for Club members to drop off their kids for up to 2 hours. At this particular site the only bathrooms available were in the locker rooms, so that meant an employee would have to walk a child through an area full of gross, naked, old people. We would try to give warning, but the SC's didn't care. On one day I got paged to report to the day care and walk a kid down to the bathroom, and when I got to the locker room entrance I told the kid to wait a minute and he did. I walked through and since it was the end of the day it was empty, with a few people that I notified that did listen. Everything is good...so far. I retrived the kid and brought him through to the bathroom area, and while making the turn I saw a naked man IN a urinal. I won't go into detail, but he was doing something very inappropriate, and I quickly covered the kids' eyes while ushering him into a stall. The NPM (Naked pervert man) ran out and started to get clothed ASAP, while the kid finished and asked to go back to the Child Care area. As I walked him out, I spotted NPM and gave him a death stare, direct finger point, and issused the command, "You are in trouble,stop at the manager's office before you leave," as mean as I could. He said a bunch of words, mostly, "What did I do?" but not in an innocent way, more like a person who got caught. I returned the kid to the day care and made a beeline to the manager's office, only to see NPM emerge from the locker area. This would be bad, very very bad.

NPM - Naked Pervert Man
SMG - Spineless Manager Guy
NPM - What, what did I do [Half spitting, very agitated.]
Me - You know dam well what you did.
SMG - Um MrTim, what's going on?
NPM - This PUNK kid threatened me and told me he was calling the cops, I want him out of here, I'm a paying club member and..
Me - He was touching himself in the bathroom when I brought a kid through. I didn't say I was calling the cops, but he needs to be arrested so it's a good idea.
NPM - I WAS NOT HE IS LYING I WANT HIM ARRESTED!
SMG -
NPM - You know what, maybe you should step ouside punk, you need to be dealt with!
Me - Add threats and assault to that. I will just call them myself.
SMG - No no no, everyone calm down.
NPM was absolutely losing his mind, I was preparing to get punched (and punch back many many times) and SMG was truly doing his best to calm us down.
Me - No, you calm down. I will NOT have some pervert threaten me, and lets not forget that if that kid says anything to his parents you have a potential lawsuit.
NPM - Oh now you are going to sue me? Back in my day we would step outside and deal with this like..
Me - Like what? Are you f&%king serious? I would DECIMATE you!
That is where I messed up. I gave the guy an out by basically bragging about my physical abilities (albiet true) and essentially sinking to his level. In the end, SMG calmed NPM down because he told him that I would not do anything. The look I gave SMG could have melted steel. SMG then gave NPM a month free, told me I would have a meeting with him later, then said that NPM and I should shake hands and behave. Since NPM was off the hook, he put his hand out and I looked at it with as much disgust as I could muster.
Me - I'm not shaking THAT, I know where it has been. Next time, do THAT at home, sir.
NPM had his account transfered to another site, and SMG had a talk with me. By that I mean he backpedaled and tried to appease me to no avail. I never take threats lightly, and for a customer to molest himself and have the manager do nothing just destroyed the job for me. I quit shortly after that incident.
