It might but if you weren't gay and someone assumed you were could possibly offend you. It's a no-win situation. If you two were massive homo-phobe brothers and got called gay the repercussions could be worse than two gay men being called brothers. I've got pretty good gaydar so when I see two men in a situation like that I always go with the "friend" label. Nobody gets upset about that one. Although I do get pissy when people say my husband is my boyfriend. We both wear rings, is it so hard to believe two young people with a child actually got married first well before the child was considered? Apparently not in Michigan.

My brother and I get along, and complete each other's sentences/thoughts (LOL) so we often get mistaken for boyfriend and girlfriend - *sigh*
New boyfriend and I have already been mistaken for being engaged, and that was before we'd come to the conclusion that we were dating.... *shakes head*
My "sister" and her ex, used to get "brother/sister?" or "father/daughter" type of assumptions, and then the really dirty looks when they would PDA - but she's 25 and looks 16, while he looks mid-20's; and they really do look similar - it was kinda funny but irritating too.I am well versed in the "gentle" art of verbal self-defense
Once is an accident; Twice is coincidence; Thrice is a pattern.
