Giving my guest's credit, with one notable exception (who while a bit rude I wouldn't call overly sucky all things considered... I'll rephrase that, he had valid reason to be pissed off, he was just pissed off at the wrong people).
12 midnight rolls around, the Delta customer service desk gives me a call, they tell me we are going to give out 5 or 6 vouchers for your hotel, please send the shuttle. We of course believing Delta, send out our minivan (which can hold only 3 or 4 with luggage, but we know that not everyone will be ready for pick up by the time we get there, once again, taking Delta on their word that they had just started giving them out, so work out great, second run would be just in time for the rest of the group to get out there). Van driver shows up, would any of y'alls wish to guess how many guests were already waiting for him?
Anyone?
There were 20 guests already waiting for him, with 10 more in line inside to get vouchers.
Now, I know why Delta lied, had they told us 30 people we'd of told them to send 10 somewhere else because we can't take groups of more than 20 without at least 2 hours notice, but seriously, at least lie and say 20 so we know there is a big group and at least can have the actual shuttle van running and start getting keys etc made up at the front desk so at least we aren't completely overwhelmed.
So yes, with the upset guest, I can fully understand how someone who was told there would be only a 10 minute wait for the shuttle would be upset when they find out that it is now a 45 minute wait because the hotel wasn't running full shuttle capacity, but don't bitch at me for running exactly the capacity that Delta told me to run.
