(Right, I know quite a few "cops" and they don't take your ID and let you walk not to mention the fact that he just tried ripping me off....

Also, not to mention, he's suggested some interaction between him and the Police. How honest and upstanding does that make him seem?

It really makes me wonder how many I've missed but now that the new cameras are working again...

It was the end of the night, a very annoying, very busy night. Guy comes in and heads to an area that really is a blind spot for the register, so I sit down and watch the camera. Sure enough, he picks out a couple of beef jerky packages, looks over the shelf a couple of time to see where I am, heads straight towards the sign that states "video and audio recording in effect" and slips them into the pocket of his jacket.
As he's doing more shopping, this time keeping everything in his hands, I send someone out to ask my husband to come in. Just in case. As he's grabbing another piece of jerky out of the bin by the register his back is to me so I pantomime to my husband that he put something in his pocket. He puts it all up on the counter and I asked, "Is that all". He said it was so my husband got up next to him and asked, "What about the stuff in your pocket?".

He actually had the balls to pretend that he was going to pay for them but said his "hands were full".
Me: "Your hands were not full at the time"
Him: (throws a handfull of quarters on the counter) "I'm still shopping, do you mind?".
Me: "As long as you pay for it"

(he's eaten the one beef jerky by this time)

He comes back to the counter with a hot pocket and finds he doesn't have enough money to pay for it all so he tries using his credit card without ID.
Him: "The cops took my ID"

Since he only has about $3.75 he starts shuffling stuff to see what he can afford. I had to remind him he'd already ate one beef jerky and he was definitely paying for that.

Now what I need to do is figure out how to get the recordings onto my computer where I can start putting up pictures in the store.
