Sure, you *can* go down to the registrar's office if you like, but online registration is so much easier and faster...if you register on time.

You can still do paper registration? I suspect that you can register at the registrar's office: they have computers there that you can walk over to. (I don't know what they do for incoming students, I didn't have to register for classes in first year because we didn't have to take electives then). There's a picture of the line-up from back when they used to do in-person registration. It's out the door of the building.

^even better. My campus you can put the classes you want to enroll in in a "preferred waiting list." When its time to register, you just check the box next to the classes you want on your Preferred list and boom, youre registered.

We have pre-registration here too. but you don't even need the extra step: you're automatically registered for any courses you pre-registered for, but then you can play with your schedule. (The pre-registration is so they know what courses to offer, how many sections, etc).

We don't do this. California hates college. They've cut our classes so badly there isnt enough room for all the students. If you dont have some kind of preferential registration (like I do), you're fucked for classes. IF you get the classes you need, its going to be a ridiculous schedule.
