Here's another reason why I sometimes hate my boyfriend-they have an entire line of lactose free milk and milk products. Not just the piddly line of milk and ice cream that Lactaid sells here, oh no. The line makes cheeses and butters of all sorts, flavors and varieties in addition to the milks and ice creams. Mmm, cream cheese.

Actually, I find Lactaid's brand of skim milk to be oddly similar to regular 1% milk. Maybe that's just my taste buds?

OMG WHERE IS THAT?! ME WANT. A LOT. I have to scavenge...usually in the organic section where it costs like a million dollars for anything I want, and 99% of the time, it's soy/almond/rice-weirdness, which I don't particularly like that much, but heck, I'll take ANYTHING over getting sick all the time.

OMG THANK goodness it si good to know there are others out there who had to suffer through that disgusting experience. powdered chalk in water tasted better. to this day I STILL do not like skim, 1% or 2% milk. just tastes like water to me.

the ONLY time I will touch powdered milk is in a pinch using it when I have no milk when I cook something that requires milk.

Gee thanks Ironclad. I had gotten rid of all my horrible memories of powdered milk, now I am probably gonna have nightmares. We were poor, sometimes Powdered was all we had...ugh. Horrible, nasty stuff.
