Sometimes it's so hard to put the entire story together. A customer can make you so blindingly furious with his taunting that you can't get all of the details together, no matter how hard you try.
So let me just sum it up.
The customer I had from Halloween was back last night. He had one unreasonable demand after another and no matter what I tried to do to placate him, it wasn't enough.
He kept needling on how I don't know how to do my job. On how other stores of the same chain don't give him as hard a time. My manager was on my side, but he finally had to pull me off the floor to let me blow of steam. Then he started whispering something and I just wanted to verbally rip him a new asshole even more.
See, I can deal with assholes. I dealt with them for two long years at Rank Aid. But what really breaks me down are bullies. I know some people on this board may have dealt with worse than I have. Hell, I've been robbed before, so after that most customers just slide off my shoulder.
But this guy...he was like a persistant tumor. Even other customers were telling him to knock it off.
I just have to get it off my chest because right now, the Belgian waffles and the hot cocoa are all that's taking the edge off.
