I Know the Tax Law and All Juice is Non Tax

Yesterday, a customer bought a couple items and the juice was taxable since it wasn't 100% juice. She insisted that there shouldn't be tax on it and that she knew the tax laws. The service desk employee told her that only juice with 100% juice was non tax and the customer mentioned that she would go through her receipts when she got home and still insisted that she knew the tax laws and that all juice should be non tax. I offered to get a manager but she didn't want to wait for one but she had no problem waiting for the service desk employee to come over and she still got the taxable juice.


I asked the assistant store director about the tax on juice after the customer left. He said the same thing the service desk employee did.

I hatehatehate people who insist they "know the law" and therefore you have to do whatever they say. They're almost always wrong.
