    I'm not sure that's a legitimate complaint.

    Actually, I'm completely certain it isn't and that our Investigations department will tell you so in black-tie language. However, because I'm just a phone peon and you are Righteously Indignant (tm) at the horrific travesties you have been forced to endure, you'll insist I'm wrong no matter how I try to tell you....

    Your doctor being condescending to your girlfriend isn't illegal.

    Your doctor employing a rude office manager is a staffing / business management issue, not a patient safety issue.

    Your husband cheating on you with a new girlfriend - oh, he happens to be a doctor? - although I can sympathize with you, it's not a violation of the Medical Practice Act!

    And to the woman who wanted to file a complaint against her doctor for "too many Mexicans in the waiting room"

    All I can hope is that you'll wind up exactly where you deserve to be.

    being mexican = no rights to medical care? what part of that rotting brain did this idea come from? the stupid is beyond strong with this one...it's all encompassing.

      Being anyone that lady disaproves of means you have no right to medical care, obviously. I don't know what would happen if she came up against someone else with the same attitude...hopefully, they'd both vanish in a flash of illogical-ness.

        No, no. They can have medical care. Just not in HER clinic!

            wondering how she "knew" they were "mexican"-there are numerous spanish speaking countries in the world. Call my BIL a Mexican and he will go off on you in both english and spanish.....he is very proud of his Argentinian heritage.
            Honestly.... the image of that in my head made me go "AWESOME!"..... and then I remembered I am terribly strange.-Red dazes

                  I used to just looove this one when I worked in the ER.

                  Cue SC complaining about the wait in the ER waiting room.

                  SC: Why is this taking so long! I've been here for hours, and seen 10 people taken who got here after I did!

                  Me: We see patients in priority of their medical complaint, sir. Not by the time of arrival. We will get to you as soon as we can, but we have to see the [heart attacks, respiratory distress, labor, and trauma patients] before we can see [your totally bogus complaint that you could have taken care of yourself at home if you had a lick of sense and a basic book on first aid].

                  SC: But . . . but I've got insurance!

                  Me: We see all patients, sir, regardless of ability to pay. We don't see patients faster just because they have insurance.
                  They say that God only gives us what we can handle. Apparently, God thinks I'm a bad ass.

                    We have a regular customer at work who looks Mexican and most people probably think he is Mexican, BUT he's actually Honduran and very proud of that fact.
