This actually reminds me of a family we get in just about every week at the restaurant I do magic at. Well, "reminds" me in the sense that they are the exact opposite.
Family of seven (four kids and a baby), the parents are very religious and home school their kids, and every single one of these kids is just unbelievably well-behaved and polite. To the point where one day, when they were being more raucous than normal, I commented on it. Not to embarrass the parents, mind you, but to point out that this was an aberration, and even while being louder than was normal for them, they were still better behaved than a large portion of children we see.
I have, on multiple occasions, given mad props to the parents (who are both rather soft-spoken and unfailingly polite) for the job they've done with these children. They assure me that they are not always little angels, but apparently the parents have instilled in them the proper way to behave when in public.
Basically, the exact opposite of the little hellions you had in your hotel.
