    I always put these types of inbound calls back in the queue because I've been on the other end of things way too freaking often where I'd be the only person in the office, and had just spent 15 minutes on hold, and I get an incoming call. Not picking up the other call wasn't an option. >_<

      When I answer the phones, I hang up if they ask if they can put me on hold. Same with the automatic dialers.

      I hang up on people that try to talk to me with their mouth full of food as well. Or when I pick up the phone and they are yelling at their kids, dog, spouse into the phone as I answer it! I have also done this to other stores within my company. Don't make me wait for you to finish up your conversation, you called ME and I have other lines to answer as well as a line of customers to check out.

        This!!! I'd get into trouble if I actually did it, but after 20 years in a call center environment this is the ONE thing I've never gotten used to. It still turns my stomach. It makes business travelers sound SO professional and speaks SO highly of their company when they NOM NOM in my ear.
