1) My dad use to embarrass me coming to school in a wife beater and a headband (pants and shoes too, of course), look for me in the classroom to make sure I didn't skip school. (which I never ever done). and now I hear about this guy. Poor girl! Hope she doens't marry the first loser that comes along so she can just get out of her house.
2) That's great that you cws showed up and comforted you. My cws would just say, "wow, that sucked," and gone on with their business.

It's always nice to hear about co-workers that care. I know it came as a shock to my wife when she started her new job in 09 that her co-workers were all great people. She couldn't stop talking about how nice they were and how they treated her with respect.

My uncle showed up drunk at my grade school once and tried to give me a stolen savings bond of some sort. Was probably at least 30 years ago, and my memory of the incident is still sharp due to the embarrassment. I cringe to think of what this poor girl is going to face in her life.
