Some time last month a cw submitted for a patron (who called in) a request for a picture from the newspaper. Normally when people call who want to make a request we tell them to fill out the form online, but seems this person has no internet or email.
Cw submitted a request for a picture of Pope Benedict XVI that appeared in the newspaper May 12, 2009. So I go make a copy, but either I get the pic and the article and the pic is small or take a copy of just the pic. The request was for a picture, but I had a feeling the patron really wanted the article too. So I make a copy and it looks pretty crappy, so I send a letter to the patron telling her "we mad a copy of the picture, the copy is of poor quality, just so you know." But I make a seperate copy of the pic and article together.
A week pass and I guess she must have paid for it so I get rid of the extra copy, just to unclutter my workspace.
On Wed. I receive her payment, a money order. Now luckily the m.o. tells me the date of the newpaper art, because the woman's accompanying letter is a mess.
First, the woman made her own stationary, which involved stapleing a hand-drawn picture of 3 birds on the bottom of the page, with a stapled copy of the word "Songbird" on the upper right-hand side of the page. So I'm looking at copies of stapled hand-drawn birds and "Songbird".
On top she wrote the date, "5/8/011 Mothers Day". Note, the date is not a typo on my part, though I wonder if it can also be correct to have the date noted like t hat.
The body of the letter took me a long time to interprete it, since she also kind of insert things, like the section of the paper. But the first 7 words (except for the "A. P. 3. section, which was inserted right after the word "for") are the only clear thing she wrote (in a combination of cursive and block-printing).
note, my thoughts are in italics, in parenthesis:
Please find enclosed money order for A.p.3 section photo as (is that as?) per your letter (note, as per your letter is scratched out heavily) . of mr (note, or pope? it looks like lumps) Benedcit "May 12, 2009 and girls (note, I thought "girls" was "give") in v neck blu uniforms nest to him looking disguated
I had a copy of it by snickest (or snickers? hard to tell) people (she draws a line to snickers) get out of /lie jailearly oo7 and freedom
The sign of Jooah came thorugh my house. I only bear witness with truth I am not paid (part?) of it. The is neo sign for any come around go around beings past 666-worst than devil (I first though she wrote "dirt", not devil)
Thank you blah blah BSOG/4R HOD TROJ.
PS I dont have email jmadfeasot@gmail (note, email x'd out) no.
So seemss she wanted an art., not pic, and I tossed the art. so I had to redo it. ugh. I changed her email address, and I substitued her name with "blah blah".
