  • Not even out of training!

I recently started a new job at my old place, this time with <new government agency>. This one is even more visible than the first one so I'll need to be more careful with my stories. /bg

I'm in training and listening to a rep as she talks on the phone. Then we get this gem:

    CW: Coworker
    SC: Who else?

CW: I do show a payment has not been made.
SC: Of course. My husband LOST HIS JOB! He's on DISABILITY!
CW: Well, we can put a temporary hold on this. Is he available?
    SC: Well...no. He's not here.
CW: Okay, well, when he gets back, have him call us so we can out the hold.
SC: Right, well it may be a bit. I'll call his boss.
    CW: ....his boss?
SC: Yeah, he's at work right now.

So your whole sob story falls apart. I know there are different degrees of disability and one where you can work but when you stress that he lost his job.....
I have a...thing. Wanna see it?

You fail at sob stories, for ever.

By the way: your sig made me laugh. Thanks.
You gotta polish a memory like a stone. Chip off the parts that remind you it was just a game. Work it until it's indistinguishable from any other memory.

Tell me there is some penalty for this attempted fraud.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

I wish, but no. We have to take them at their word. Even if they're stupid words...
