We deliver to customers either every 2 weeks or every 4 weeks. Every 4 weeks is not monthly; its literally every 4 weeks. Which means, depending on the length of the month, you might have 2 deliveries in one month. For instance, we could deliver on June 2nd and then 4 weeks later on June 30. Some customers have a little trouble with it at first but considering that its and equal number of days between deliveries they don't have a problem with it. Some do.
Like this guy.
As in the aforementioned scenario, he received a delivery on June 2nd and June 30. Now his next delivery will be July 28. Three deliveries, 4 weeks apart. Easy...?
SC: I got a delivery I shouldn't have gotten.
Me: I'm sorry to hear that...hmm, it looks like you received your scheduled delivery on June 30.
SC: That wasn't my scheduled delivery. I got delivery on June 2.
Me: Oh, I see. You did receive a delivery on June 2. You get water every 4 weeks so your next delivery happened to come on the last day of June. That sometimes happens, usually about once a year.
SC: No, my next delivery was July 2!
Me: Well, your deliveries are every 4 weeks, not monthly so-
SC: A month is 4 weeks!
Me: 4 weeks is 28 days, so-
SC: Yeah a month!
Me:...well...some months have 30 days, some have 31. So it can vary.
SC: I don't want it to vary! I want a delivery on the 2nd of every month.
Me: I'm sorry, but that won't be possible. The 2nd is sometimes a weekend and we don't deliver on weekends. Your next delivery will be July 28 which is 4 weeks from-
SC: No, it was supposed to be on the 2nd.
Me:...So it sounds like you are upset that we delivered 48 hours earlier than you expected?
SC:...f*** you.

*shakes head* I don't expect everyone to be able to do calculus-level math (hell, I can't do calculus-level math!
) but is a bit of basic math skill too much to ask these days? How do these people even function in their everyday lives?
