you say that she and Hibby were made for each other, but all we know about Hubby is what he woman was saying to her friend about what she thinks he's upto.

Let's not assume the Hubby is also an Asshole.

I do agree with this. If I had an ex as annoying as her who was about to go after my money, I think I would squandor it like he's doing!

Get CRML an IBM Model M Keyboard! (available on eBay and quality secondhand computer shops the world over) Then he can pound away at that thing with freakin' anvils and it will just take it with a smile.

As an added bonus, it's loud even without pounding on the keys!

I think she wanted some sympathy from you, or attention at least. She sounds like a totally immature attention grabber. She wants the whole world to know she's the victim, but it's painfully obvious that the only thing she's a victim of is lack of intelligence.
Which brings up a possibility that doesn't seem to have occurred to anyone in this thread yet:

If she's doing all this as an attention- or sympathy-grabbing ploy, who's to say if there's really anyone on the other end of the line at all? If she's that sick, she might even have been talking into a dead phone, making up the entire conversation for CRML's "benefit".

There was an old joke in Israel: Here's a small-time businessman sitting in his office. He hasn't any business at the moment, just sitting there wasting time. A man walks into the office, so to make himself look busy he picks up the phone and starts hollering into it, "Buy 3000 shares of IBM! Sell 25000 shares of General Motors!" and so on. After he's done talking with his "broker", he hangs up and turns to the man who walked in. "Can I interest you in some investment advice sir?" The guy answers "Ah, no, I'm just here to hook up your telephone service."

(Back then, the Israeli phone network was (mis-)managed by the post office, and it could take upwards of 6 months to get your service installed, so it's not surprising that someone would have a dummy phone on his desk.)

            Or like she says he's doing . . .

Soon as she sat on the desk, I'd be like, "Lady, please take your dirty laundry someplace where I don't have to listen to it. NOW!" It's not in my job description to have to witness crap like that.

            Talk about entitled.

What an odious woman. She completely invaded your space and from the conversation it sounds like she was the one who caused the breakup yet still blames him for everything and complains about being branded a golddigger, yet is determined to keep her ex husbands grandmothers ring because it's worth a lot of money!
I thought she said she wanted nothing, earlier.

              Agreed...scortched earth.

I don't know what her ex-to-be is like, but I find it hard to believe that he deserves a mate like her. Did anyone else notice that for almost every sentence that she complains about his FB posts, she utters two that all but confirm them?
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

I think I might have told the woman in the OP to take her call outside because it was disrupting the meeting going on inside.

                  You can usually tell if someone is doing that because of the timing of the "dialogue". They usually don't leave enough time for a real person to speak their side of the conversation, since it's going on in their head, and thinking is faster than talking. Unless they are aware of this fact, in which case they leave too much time for the other person's lines. {gleaned from years of observation of my mother doing it }
Smile, or I'll smack you silly!
