I left the house and it had barely started to rain, but hit hard (absolute downpour) by the time I got to work. I don't know where my umbrella is, but it wouldn't have helped. I hurried in, feeling like a giant hose was turned on me. I had so much water IN my eyes that I couldn't see. I was able, at one point, to see a car pull up beside me and roll the window down. I don't know what they wanted, but really? They thought I was going to stop?
Well, I did get in, get cleaned up, and on a lane. My second customer took one look at my drenched self and said I should've brought an umbrella. OK, in the state I was in (soaked shoes, too!), that wasn't funny, so I simply handed him the receipt and told him, unsincerely, to have a good day. Cue catbutt face 'cause I didn't feel like kidding around with him. *sigh*
