  • If you're going to return things...

... at least return it in the condition you purchased it in!

Of course, to my dear customers who have a legitimate quality-related issue with our merchandise, this does not apply. I have no problem doing returns. I completely understand that sometimes things don't work out (especially when parents/aunts/whomever do the shopping for an especially picky Bustice fan). Really, it's no problem, that's why we allow them.

But if you are going to return the merchandise, please don't bring it back to us reeking of smoke or covered in dog hair. Some of the girls who work and/or shop in the store could be allergic to something like that, and I'm pretty sure my company would prefer to not handle a lawsuit because of another customer's apathy.

As a cat/dog owner, I do understand that hair gets everywhere. But someone returned a pair of shorts that looked like the girl had rolled around in the dog's bed or something while wearing said shorts. Hopefully the next purchaser of the shorts isn't allergic.

    Oh my.
My mum would always lint-roller the hair off of things we were returning, and there was no smoking, so that wasn't an issue for me. I thought that was just common sense.

With an SC, common sense isn't quite so common.

I always feel awkward about returning something that I've washed-- meaning that it either shrunk, unraveled, washed-out, or somehow became defective because of the wash.
... how should I feel? Is this legit? (return, feelings, what should happen?)

I'm not much of a clothes buyer; Once I find styles I like, I keep buying that type as long as I can (to my mom's dismay at times). But if wearing/washing showed a defect (washing out, unravelling or otherwise falling apart), I'd have no problems returning it. It's a flawed product and should be returned and you shouldn't feel bad about returning it, nor have a problem doing so (as long as you have the receipt and return it in a reasonable time of course).

The first and only time I EVER had to return clothes was because a shirt I got in SO's size didn't fit because the size was cut smaller than it said on the tag (it said 4X but fit like a 3X on him ). It was still in good condition when I returned it the next day.
