Oh, my favorite has to be finding a label reading "Warning-this product contains eggs" on an egg carton! Really? Is someone so stupid that they can't figure out an egg contains egg? It's a freaking EGG! Did someone really look at it and go "Hmm, I'm deathly allergic to eggs, but this box labeled 'eggs' with those white things inside it that look exactly like eggs should be perfectly safe!"

A few months ago, security did the monthly alarm testing without notifying anyone via the PA system at work.

The fire alarm went off. At first we were all like but of course, the trainer yelled "Everyone out!" so we all took off our gloves and walked out of the room.

Our shift lead ran after us, yelling that it was just a test. She actually seemed enraged that we dared leave the area because of the alarm.

Sure enough, right as the alarm went off, she'd gotten a page that it was a test.

WE didn't know that.

And yet we got yelled at for leaving.

If that's not stupid enough, last year, when we do our annual fire drill where we all evacuate, they were so worried about losing productivity that they begged for volunteers to stay in the area and work through the drill. Let's just say that the first responder crew (people designated to make sure the area is clear) were PISSED that people were still working. Due to that, we failed the drill, which has to be reported.
