  • old guy acts like toddler

I'm working food, have just come in, and am trying to catch up (we were shorthanded earlier). A guy orders a hot dog and I am scambling to get it (had to go all the way around back to grab tongs). I go to wrap it and says, "That's fine", meaning I don't have to wrap it. He has his finger pinning the wrapper down. (The counter is kind of open). I can't re-use the wrapper anyway because of this, so I tug on it and continue rolling and give it to him. I wish him a good day and hop to the next custy right away because I don't need him to see the annoyance or engage me any further. When I get done with my line, I see--as I knew I would--that he's balled up the wrapper and thrown it on my counter. What a grown-up. [/sarcasm]
"Is it hot in here to you? It's very warm, isn't it?"--Nero, probably

He probably didn't get a nap that day, so he was cranky. Poor little tyke.
"I was only LOOKING, I didn't mean to enter my card's CVV and actually ORDER! REFUND ME RIGHT NOW!!"

I get this all the time with receipts except the customer doesn't tell me that he doesn't want it/wants it in the bag. Just balls it up and tosses it on the counter.

Customers should always be served . . . to the nearest great white.

You know..i usually just ask if there's a trash bin..in the case of food..i darn well KNOW there is one and look for it..if I'm elsewhere and there isn't one readily visible, i ask if they have a wastebasket and if they would mind my using it....if the answer is no..i find a trash bin.

Then again, I'm not a litterbug and I have some common decency,
