  • People make me sad

This story was passed on to me from a coworker; I didn't have the privilege of meeting this lovely lady myself. Short titbit

One of my coworkers collapsed and had a seizure while alone on the front of the store (which is so against the rules its unreal, and yet, every day.....) The nice part of this story is that one customer put them in the recovery position and another called an ambulance

Obviously theres a bad customer coming...in the form of an EW who while this was all going on, asked my other coworker "I want to shop in that section, do I have to wait?" Sensibly coworker just glared and walked away rather than flip out. People disgust me.

Ugh. Yep...gotta love the "me me me" attitude.

Several years ago, we had a guy in our pharmacy drop over with a brain hemorrhage. So he's lying there, writhing around and making various not-well noises, while the pharmacist on duty and a couple other people are trying to give first aid.

We found out later that in the middle of all this, some woman came up and demanded the guy be rolled off to the side someplace so she could pick up a prescription.

      Unfortunately, the poor guy died.

IPF, I want a postscript to that:

        4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.

It's moments like this that I wish someone there would just look the EW straight in the eye and call them out on their shit.

"Really? Really now? You want us to roll this man into a corner and let him DIE, just so you can get your prescription? Are you that heartless?"

I'm curious as to what answer an EW would give when you call attention to just how shameless they're acting.

Coworker is out of hospital and taking a few weeks off while they wait for test results. So everything should be ok

I'm glad they're going to be all right.

We've been trying to figure that out long before this forum started.

If you ever have a medical emergency in our store, I'll make sure it's noted that you believe shopping is more important and we'll just ignore you or, better yet, push you out of the way of the other customers. I'm pretty sure you would fit under that shelf over there.." *angel grin*

Self-centeredness, bad manners, mental tunnel vision and inability to comprehend that other people are fellow human beings, all taken to the extreme. This behaviour has been bred into the general public for the last few generations ever since that idiot first uttered that dreadful phrase, "The Customer Is Always Right." Selective breeding has ensured that SCs have no undesirable traits like courtesy, decency or empathy for others.

Yes, I am losing what microscopic bit of faith in humanity I had left, why do you ask?
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

These people do nothing to damage my faith in humanity, since it's fairly obvious they have none.
