That's actually how you're supposed to use escalators. If only I could get the yahoos around here to understand that.

Well, now, a lot of that would depend on why you're using the escalator. They're there in the first place to help those who can't handle stairs, whether it be issues with joints, fatigue, whatever.

I don't actually have a disability, myself, but there have been some days where walking up a flight of stars just wasn't going to happen right then.

...Do you work at Ikea? I was just at the new one here in Denver and nowhere to be found was a 'down' escalator. Either a freight elevator, or stairs...

Nope, no Ikeas anywhere near here, I work in a cinema/movie theatre.

Odd, there are signs* on some of the escalators near me that specifically say not to walk in the same direction on them due to safety concerns.

*Not an SC, therefore I can see and comprehend signs.
