  • What The Actual Eff?

Alright, so I literally just got off of work, and the lobby closes at 9 pm and the drive-thru closes at 9:30 pm. So we were shutting down the steam table and getting everything clean.
A lady pulls up through the drive-thru and after 2 seconds yells "HELLO! IS ANYONE EVEN F*CKING THERE?" The co-worker working drive-thru said "Thank you for choosing Panda Express, what can I make for you?" The lady just goes off and says "I CAME HERE TO GET SOME F*CKING FOOD, AND YOU CAN'T BOTHER TO HELP ME WHEN I PULL UP?!" The co-worker calmly responds "I am sorry ma'am, we are getting ready to close, but I would be more than happy to take your order." The lady goes on and on about our "sucky" service and how she was a fast-food manager and she always had people on staff and blah blah blah. Finally, my co-worker hands the head-set over to our manager, and I grab one just to listen further.
Lady: "WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THAT RUDE-ASS EMPLOYEE?!"
Manager: "Her name is (insert name)."
Lady: "Well, (co-worker) was rude as SHIT to me and couldn't even take my f*cking order."
Manager: "Ma'am, there is no excuse for you to be cussing at my employees, or me. I will take your order and you can file a complaint if you wish."
Lady: "DAMN F*CKING RIGHT I WILL!"
(Lady places order and comes to drive-thru)
Manager: "Ma'am, you have cussed at me and my employees, we only have 4 people working right now due to the hour, you may make a complaint, but I have already called MY boss, and after tonight, we will no longer be willing to serve you. I understand you are hungry, but we have been working since 6 am this morning, the last thing we need is someone to rudely demand we stop our jobs and duties simply because a customer cannot wait a minute for someone to take their order."
Lady: "Well, maybe you should hire some better f*cking employees."
Me: *pokes head in drive-thru* "Maybe if you would expand your vocabulary pass curse words and vulgar insults, we would better serve you."
    Lady: *glares*
Manager: *holds back laughter* here is your food, ma'am. We will no longer be serving you. Enjoy."
Lady: "I better have gotten some damn soy-sauce with my f*cking low-class food."
Manager: "I suggest you leave before we report you for assault."
    Lady: *speeds off*

    Yeah, some nights are entertaining.

Wow! Yes, we get a lot of stories about that type of sucktomer here but it's not often that we here how cool managers totally pwn the SC and even let the employees get in on the act. Great story, and to the board!

How do they go from 2 seconds to 10 minutes wait? Also, if it's such "low-class food," why is she ordering it?

Damn and that was probably the last place left in town to eat at that she hadn't gotten kicked out of. Well, that's just too damn bad now isn't it? She can just learn to be polite, or cook for herself all the time. Kudos to your manager for having a back bone and telling her to GTFO!

Outstanding manager you have there. Can't tell you how rare that is.

Answer: Their only experience is in their minds: how they THINK X should work (or how they want it to). Actual employees should bow to their authority since there is no way they could know she's not a manager.

Judging from her usage of that vocabulary, she should demand a refund from Webster's.

Sadly, that type of language seems to be more the norm than the exception nowadays.

I can explain that Moon Cat..remember 45's (records)? When you hit the turntable they would skip and repeat. So my theory is they suffered some trauma to the head and are now 'skipping' like a broken reacord.
