Well, we went through everything: the bathroom fan, the toilet tank (found a washrag stuffed in there, WTF?), between the mattresses, behind the mirror, in the AC...I've cleaned up enough drug rooms to know all the hiding spots. Didn't find anything in that room, though. He did have several books of stamps stuffed up in the lamps...he was weird.

Piggies can get rather big, but they're easy to handle...mice can be hyper as hell or fairly easy, rats are a bit smarter and typically somewhat more laid back than mice, but more active than guinea pigs.

D'awwww, he's adorable! I'd personally love to have a little rodent for a pet (a guinea pig or a mouse, methinks), but I worry my cats would eat it or my mother would kill it thinking it's a vermin. In any case, I'm glad you were able to save this little one and give her a nice home.

Hopefully you won't have to see the freak who turned his room into ground zero again. Sounds like a badly-medicated schizo who self-medicates with recreational substances.

I loe guinea pigs....we had 'em growing up (they were my mom's classroom pets). Pity I'm allergic to them. Though that didn't stop me from cuddling them

Everyone on Facebook wants to keep Pippin as well. Okay, so Pippin it remains. Pippin is a SHE now, not a HE. She seems to respond well to Pippin, anyway.

I had a feeling a couple days ago, since she pissed all over two of my shirts in one day while I was cuddling with her. Maybe it's just me, but I've never had male guinea pigs do that, but the females I've had to it all the time. I think she actually tried to warn me the first time and I wasn't listening, but the second time, she was just all, "Imma gonna pee on your shirt! Ha!"

I think Pippin could still be a decent girl's name. But I have to go with Goldberry, it's happy and trippy and somehow seems appropriate for a wee piggy.

So I've been taking a closer look at Pippin, and sending pics to some people..and I think the guy at the pet store who was uncertain guessed wrong and that he may actually be a she.

So, I may need to rename him...er, her.

In keeping with my tradition of naming guinea pigs after LOTR characters, my options appear to be:

Galadriel
Rosie
Goldberry
Others?
