That's a loophole that we, thankfully, don't have here. Anything that's not sealed is an open container.Quoth EricKei View PostWe don't have drive thru booze per se, just drive thru daiquiri shops. They put a top on the (usually) foam cup and HAND you a straw, thus neatly exploiting a (likely intentional) loophole in the Open (Alcohol) Container laws here. After all, it's not their fault if you happen to unwrap the straw and insert it into the cup while driving, it wasn't that way when they gave it to you
Not that that stops our very determined (and ridiculously repeat) drunk drivers. But that's another long, long, long rant in-and-of itself. It's floating wicker propelled by fire!

Dairies, for whatever reason, tend to be more likely to have drive through service.Quoth Ironclad Alibi View PostI just recalled that when I was a kid my father used to stop at a drive through milk store to buy milk. It was primarily drive through sales and might have carried a few dairy items other than milk.
Being southern California, there are a number of them to be found in this region.

Once upon a time, we had a drive-through pizza place... We used to live literally RIGHT behind it, though, so we never actually did the drive-through. Then they remodeled it and put a bar where the drive-through used to be. Made me sad.Look, a signature!
If every cashier in the world went on strike, retail would come to a screeching halt, even if for a couple hours.

Not a drive-through, but I've seen at bubble tea shops where after they prepare the drink in a plastic cup, they put it in a machine that heat-seals a foil top onto the cup. A drive-through daiquiri shop that used a machine like this would be selling you a sealed container. What happens after you get it, after all, isn't their problem. The one around the corner from my Litter Box has that. There are also select locations of Lowe's Foods that offer that service as well.Quoth Ironclad Alibi View PostHarris Teeter has that arrangement. Order online, park in special reserved spots, and they bring your groceries out and load them in your car.
Very handy if you're pressed for time or, in the case of my stepmom's BFF, she was taking care of two elderly ladies at home and really had no time to shop. So she'd order online and leave the house long enough to drive to the store to pick them up.

Lets see... In my town we have a drive through grocery, 3 drive through pharmacies, assorted food places, drive though booze (which continues to strike me as a bad idea). Really, all we're missing is a drive through confessional (they exist, we had one in a previous town) and a drive through peep show. (also exist. sadly)
We have a lazy town...Tell a man there are 300 Billion stars in the universe and he’ll believe you.
Tell him a bench has wet paint on it and he’ll have to touch to be sure.
