Please keep us updated on this - it sounds like he won't prosecute junior but I seriously doubt he's given up on the money. I think we all agree you have _not_ heard the last from this guy!

Hopefully dad is smart enough to switch account numbers and put a fraud alert. No guarantee sonny didn't find other checks or credit cards the dad doesn't even know about.A lion however, will only devour your corpse, whereas an SC is not sated until they have destroyed your soul. We always recommend switching account numbers for something like this, but a lot of people don't want to go through the "hassle" of getting their direct deposits and such moved over to the new number. Really don't understand that myself.Quoth bainsidhe View PostHopefully dad is smart enough to switch account numbers and put a fraud alert. Of course, like others here have stated, I don't understand how that much money could disappear from an account over the course of more than a month and it not be noticed. This was thousands of dollars all told. Of course, daddy HAS the money, and won't be anywhere close to short on the bills this month either, so maybe he doesn't feel the need to keep as close of eye on his account as I do.
I probably won't get an update, unless it's just that the customer decided to take his accounts elsewhere. Customer can take it up the corporate ladder, but this is a place where there is no room to cave. Even the most spineless upper management will spout the same message we did. Most likely, he'll just be forwarded to the fraud department, and they don't take crap from ANYONE. And if he mentions lawsuit at any time (could happen), then it becomes legal's problem and no one else will even discuss it with him.
Whatever way it goes about, it's unlikely I'll hear anything more about it myself. Unless he DOES decide to press charges, because then we'll be putting through the dispute. I just somehow doubt he's going to actually press charges.

If he hasn't by now, chances are, he won't.Quoth bankworking View PostI just somehow doubt he's going to actually press charges.
I had a great aunt in such a situation. A cousin's BF lifted a blank check. The poor fool picked one in sequence and aunty immediately spotted the ruse and got a stop payment in plenty of time.I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

Of course they're not paying him what he's worth - pesky minimum wage laws and all that.Quoth Argabarga View PostI can see it now..
"Your Honor, my Son HAD to steal from them, they weren't paying him what he's worth! And you're going to LET them do that to him?"
Any fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.
