  • Passive aggressive SC

This customer came to the till to pay and deliberately stared out the window until I asked him to please put his card in. His response?

"Actually, I was waiting for your permission seeing as the last time I put my card in without it, you said it was put in too early."

Yes, dickhead, cuz you shoved it in before I could even ask you what pump you were on. Surely any moron can work out that I need to enter your fuel on the till before you can pay for it?

I just pleasantly told him that, and he retorted with, "Every time I come in here, one of you girls tells me off for putting my card in too early."

Well, if we tell you every time, then surely you ought to know not to do it? As for "girls"; we're all over eighteen, so we're hardly girls.

What gets me is that when you ask him to put his card in isn't that "giving him permission". So his entire passive aggressive speech was simply telling you that you are doing things exactly the way he wants them. What a dumb ass.

I'm sorry, but your post is full of "that's what she said" moments, lol.

What a jerk. He makes a mistake and obviously, it's everyone else that made the mistake. Never him.

You're criticized for doing something right, and criticized for doing something wrong. When is it ever going to be a WIN-situation for us? UGH!

some people will just complain because they are bitter jaded people

I had a guy buy something yesterday and he bitched about a co-worker socialising with a "friend" I look over and shes selling a coffee maker to a customer but ohhhh no it MUST be a friend.... okay buddy so I apologise and move on with the purchase,

then I comment on the BEAUTIFUL sunny day we were having and he starts on about how the weather is usually crappy here

so as I am finishing up I give it one last go and tell him to have a great day with a big grin and he says "oh yeah now I get to sit in traffic for an hour"

you can't win with some people!

              Oh lord, sounds so familiar.

People so bitter and jaded, they remember every "offense" you say/commit, throw it back at you later by doing the opposite and reminding you of what you "did" before, and then people who just absolutely insist on being negative about everything, you can never even hardly squeak a smile out of them.

I always get annoyed when people can't even master a simple exercise like using a chip and pin machine. Seriously people, it's not that fucking hard.

I always have the same people marching up to me and shoving their card into the chip and pin machine before I have got their price on screen so I have to tell them to take it out again, and they do it every single time.

I'm guilty of that - whenever I talk about the women at my old job I call them 'the girls', even though some of them are old enough to be my Mother. None of them have ever said anything about it (and they're not backwards in coming forwards) - it's a term of endearment but then I do know them...
