This story reminds me of a regular old-bat who sends in requests for obituaries every month for years. She's not working on a genealogical tree, she's working on a forest. My dad got 2 bronzes and a silver in WW2, we only know what he got one bronze and the silver for ... we got told that the other bronze was still classified when we went to get copies of the citations for the shadowbox we were putting together for mom with the flag from his funeral.
