    I had a pretty decent night until this guy. It was a busy holiday weekend and sometimes the atms run out of money. I can't help it, the casino doesn't own them and I'm just the poor stuck-in-the-middle-of-this-shit cashier.

    So, yes, it IS annoying to come up to the cage to get your money because the atms are out of cash. I am sorry, nobody is sorrier than I am having to see all of your bitch asses.

    SC: Where's my money!!?

    Throws his receipt at me that states he must get his money at the cage. I take a look at it (You can usually tell what kind of transaction they did--whether or not it was a debit, POS debit or a credit card cash advance) It was a debit so I knew that he got the machine without money in it.

    ME: I need the card you used and your ID please. I'm sorry the ATMS are out of money at the moment so I can retrieve it for you here.

    He throws a shit fit about digging out his credit card and slams his wallet down with his ID in it.

    Me: Can you take the ID out for me to please?

    We are NOT allowed to touch their wallets, we need to check the ID to make sure it's real AND it's REALLY hard to get the info if half of the pic is covered in wallet.

    SC: NO. I will not take out that damn thing.

    ME: Unfortunately sir, I need it out.

    I was going to offer to help him but he was an asshole and I really feel uncomfy with touching their things unless they are older and are unable to and NOT yelling at me.

    SC: NO. *voice gets louder* YOU will do this and give me my money right now!! Either give me my money right now or cancel the goddamn thing!

    Note: If you EVER have your transaction cancelled through our systems it WILL take anywhere from a couple of days to WEEKS to get your cash. So watch out.

    I had enough. I was the only one up there and I refuse to get yelled at.

    Me: (I made a big sickly sweet smile as I said this through my clenched teeth) Well, sir allow me to get my supervisor to assist you.

    I ran into the back got my SV and she handled it while I hid in the back and heard him yell at her. Eventually he did what she asked since he realized she was NOT going to back down either.

    The ONE thing I love about this place the managers WILL back you up. Finally the assholic jerk left.

    Frankly, then, I don't understand why you didn't just put in the cancellation order and let him stew until it refunded.

        Yeah...unfortunately you know which ones WILL come back and create a fresh hell after they find out their bank is holding their money. Because it's YOUR fault, not theirs or the bank's.

          The supervisors like to try and get them to get their money before we cancel anything. I got into trouble before for doing as the customer wished (go figure)

          And also since he wouldn't give me his license I couldn't cancel it anyway because we need his id to do so! lol But usually we tell them: if you don't pick it up in a few hours it will drop out of OUR system. That's true BUT there's also that prob of you may not get your money for days to weeks. But we leave that part out. He wanted it debited right away. Nope... I wish we could just ZAP and have everything return magically.

            Somehow I don't think the zapping would be limited to the money. Many SCs deserve to be zapped.

              Great job standing up to that guy! Yeah, I don't get the deal about what is so hard about taking their damn ID out to let the one who asked for it see it clearly. I always have my ID out before they even ask me. Kudos to that, right? Nice to have a manager who stands by your story.

                I would have been a complete and total asshole and the moment he refused to take his ID out.. call the card holder's bank and place a "fraud hold" on the card. There must have been a reason why he didn't want to show his complete ID.

                  Because (in SC paranoid delusion world) that way THEY WIN! It's sad but true. SCs feel they are actually being [injured] [inconvenienced] [et cetera'd] and they want to make sure we are getting peed on too. Misery loves company.
