On wednesday a member of bar staff went into the loo's to do a check and heard several loud sniffs from a stall, he got straight on his radio and called security to the loo's.
Me and my oppo got there, the bar staff pointed out the stall and said drugs, we practically bang the door down shouting for him to open the door, he opens it we escort him to the door, en route we take his driving license off him telling him hes going to be banned and we are scanning his ID in and makeing a note of what happened.
He just stood by the door with me while police were called and the manager copied his ID etc into the banned/incident book.
After around 10 minutes the manager comes back out and goes ballistic on the lad "How dare you do coke in my pub you scum" and so forth. the lad denies the lot but after a few minutes says it wasent coke, it was ketamine. Manager keeps telling him off, with his ID in his hand, not giving it back. The lad just hangs his head and takes it. After a few minutes of this a police car pulls up behind him and the policeman in it walks over, to which we give him the ID and say thats the lad.
He asks if we have a private place he can search him so we let him use a quiet area to search him, he found a few joints, then about 4 wraps. He stops looks the guy in the face and says if we keep searching will we find more, the lad says yes. Out come the cuffs and the lad is arrested.
The policeman came back thursday to thank us, they found alot more when they searched him down the station.
He was from the southern wales valleys, had dressed up in fancy dress to mingle with the students who do costume socials every tuesday and wednesdays....so he had thought it out what he was doing.
On hindsight we think he had a girl with him as well, who was desparate to get into the venue around the same time but was knocked back for not having any form of ID we accepted. She tryed everything crying and shouting that she only needed a pee and we could walk her to the toilets if we had to, offering a kiss to let her in, the plain old please please please how old do you think i am...i always tell them 12 till you prove otherwise.....at the time was just an annoying person who couldent handle the word no...but she did take it on a bit longer than most do, but she was with the same group as the dealer before he got in and she was knocked back....so possible connection
