This guy was just wow... Gaming addiction at its finest.

This old man hobbles into my window with a cane (important later) and asks if he can write a check. I looked up his account--they let him catch a 150 dollar check the previous day. I also look at his play. He spent 20 out of the 150! Where the hell did the rest go?

I told him I'd be right back and talk to my supervisor. She said no. He doesn't have the play to back it up. I tell him this and this is the response I get:

SC: But I'm blind... (pulls out a magnifying glass) I couldn't see if the card registered...

Me: (I knew it was a pity story) Unfortunately sir, I can't. My supervisor has already told me no.

SC: I want to speak to her.

I go into the back and out comes the dayshift SV.

SV: Unfortunately sir, there is no play on the card, so I can't justify giving you more money.

Hey, SV's get into trouble too.

SV: If you can get me an account balance by either an automated balance or on the computer I'd be willing to let you write another check.

The SC didn't see that coming and you could clearly see he was back peddling and panicking a bit.

SC: Eerr well, I can't do that you see, my bank is in Indiana and I'm not set up that way...

SV: Then sir, I am very sorry but until that check clears we cannot cash another one.

SC: Not even for fifty or twenty??

    SV: No.

    He finally leaves.

Thought that was the end? Nooope.

He hits up my co worker later telling her he needs to cash a check because he needs money for food! Where did that 150 go? He got turned down again.

Came back later to a different co worker (ha see the pattern?) and said he needed money because otherwise he had no way to get home. How did you get here!? Better start walking. That and he was UP 40. So he must've hit. Where did that money go then??

The day before he was in a wheel chair. This guy was trying really hard to play on being "disabled" which I think is just messed up. Don't play us, plus the casino could give a shit less if you're out of money to get home on. And I looked at his age 46. Honestly looked over 60. It was weird, I almost thought his ID may have been fake. Plus the expiration date was off and the pic looked funny. I guarantee I will see his name in returns.

Also, he had three different addresses and his bank was not drawn off one in Indiana. It was local and so was he.

I knew he was full of shit because earlier he left his check in my window and I had to chase him down to return it and found him talking to this one lady who had quite a fist full of money. They were clearly together.

He once again got denied. Did he think we didn't talk to each other??? He had a slew of NSF's and returns up and down the strip. He only got money the first time cuz he hit one of our new cashier's who didn't look at all his crazy check bouncing info. *sigh*

He didn't think at all. They're so brilliant that nobody could have ever come up with this scheme before.

and I thought my mom was bad...

We got in a car accident when I was 16, and she closed my part of the case early although I still needed care for my back, she wanted to be in control of my money from my part of the sum.
I never saw any of it. She used it on gambling. That could have been for college or such...
She didn't close her part of the case until I was 19, trying to get more out of it

Then she soon got into another severe car accident...and its all about money for gambling again.

Sorry for the thread hijack, but when it comes to gambling, some people just...yeah...
