Tee Hee folks, but that was 86 flood warnings, not degrees.
Some places - Hebden Bridge for example - just thought "oh no, we had floods a month ago, not again!"
As it is, I live on a hill & the worst thing that could happen to us would be that the basement gets flooded (it didn't).
