Re: Comps and comp points. The way we do it at my employer's is that players have a total of 3 choices for their comps.
1) $2-for-$1 comp value on any of the retail outlets, restaurants, or hotel room charges.
2) $1-for-$1 comp value on slot play or any purchase inside the casino (cigarettes, cigars, or REALLY high-end liquors).
3) $0.50-for-$1 comp value cash back.
Dealer hits... 21. Table loses.
This happens more often than most people want to believe.
Incidentally, the reason you don't see credit card slots in gambling machines is that (AFAIK) there are laws against it. Rationale: it's that much easier to lose track of what you're spending, and end up screwing yourself for rent and food money, if it's on credit.
