Went with my mother to pick out a new outfit for my brother's wedding, especially since they carry a lot of clothes for odd shaped larger women like myself (broad shoulders, non existent waist, wide hips/thighs).
The sales lady asked if we needed any help, then promptly ignored us...the second one was much more amiable, asking what we were looking for, then actually LISTENING to me as I told her my color preferences, what I currently had in mind (black slacks for a july wedding), and between her and mom, we picked out numerous tops and even a new skirt,
We only settled on 3 new tops and the skirt, but she hovered and was attentive, but still gave us our space.
The topper was that as we were checking out, I mentioned that I had put the clothes we were not buying back on their shelves (and I'm fairly certain I got them back properly), and she said "you didn't have to do that, that's our job!" not in a snobby/snotty way....just out of sheer shock, since I did happen to catch a glimpse of her face at the state I left the dressing room while I was in and out trying clothes on.
It was brief and only a flash, but it read loud and clear "oh god, that's gonna take forever to clean up..." in my defense I was just taking things on and off and not hanging them back up, but my mommy raised me right and she would of made me go back in and at LEAST hang everything back up, I went one step further with hanging everything up, making sure nothing fell out of my pockets, and put everything back where it belonged...
I hope in some small way I made her day a little easier, since she made my day much nicer ^^
