This was today at the Mart of Wals and was so.. amazing, that I had to post.
I'd gotten in line to check out and was waiting.. and waiting.. and waiting. Turned out the guy at the register was having some trouble with his card. It kept saying it didn't have funds, but the guy knew he'd had money in the account. This was an older guy, on one of the courtesy scooter/carts, and looked absolutely tired. His wife didn't look much better. They had the transaction suspended while they tried to sort it with their bank. Apparently they were told it was sorted because the next isle over, they tried again, only to have issues again.
This is where I gained some hope for humanity. The lady in front of me went over to their lane and paid it for them. When they thanked her, she shrugged it off and told them to have a good day!
