WTG bus driver

I got on the bus, and the bus driver stepped off. He then handed a wallet to a man at the bus stop. He had the man go through it to make sure everything was there, and the man was almost in tears thanking the driver over and over.
Idk if the wallet was handed in or what. Idk how the driver contacted the man. I just know he got the man his wallet back.

Cue a sucky passenger complaining to the bus company about the driver "wasting time" and delaying their trip.

Idk how the driver contacted the man. I just know he got the man his wallet back.

I have a hunch that Lost Wallet Guy probably called the Transit Agency, and Dispatch alerted the Driver that LWG would meet him at that particular stop.


Alternate scenario that I could imagine, is that LWG got to that stop somehow; got a vehicle/ride, or perhaps it was across from the stop he'd gotten off at, and he waited to meet the bus as it headed in the opposite direction.
