  • My Daughter Broke It; I'm Buying It

Recently, a customer came up to the service desk with a candle in a broken glass jar, admitted that one of her daughters broke it, and paid for it. She even told her daughter that she was going to pay her back for the candle and had the daughter carry the candle out of the store.

By the way, our store doesn't have a you break it you buy it policy. Also, it was the top of the jar that was broken.

Good on that mom for teaching her daughter responsibility.
"I look at the stars. It's a clear night and the Milky Way seems so near. That's where I'll be going soon. "We are all star stuff." I suddenly remember Delenn's line from Joe's script. Not a bad prospect. I am not afraid. In the meantime, let me close my eyes and sense the beauty around me. And take that breath under the dark sky full of stars. Breathe in. Breathe out. That's all."

Aw, what a good lesson! And at least the daughter gets a usable candle out of it.
