  • Farmer's Market

Hubby and I have been eating healthier. We are enjoying smoothies and salads and are committed.

Since I was fortunate to be off today (usually work weekends), we decided to go to the local farmer's market. We wanted to get some fresh fruits and veggies for smoothies as well as some proteins for dinner.
I had my eye on some blackberries that were advertised.

We have a great time, stock up on some awesome stuff.
Last stand we get to has two baskets of blackberries. Before i can pick one up, we get distracted by the vendor telling us he also has pork.

While looking at the pork a woman walks over and picks up a basket of the blackberries. I panic and ask her if she is taking both baskets. She thinks for a minute and replies, "I was going to, but I was taught to share. You can have the other one."

I was soooooo grateful! I told her I came to the market specifically looking for blackberries, but got distracted looking at the pork!

Thank you, kind lady. I wouldn't have been mad if you took both, it wasn't your fault I didn't pick one up when I go to the table!

I love my local Farmer's Markets. They always have such delicious produce at decent prices, and the people are so nice.

Autumn is coming up, which means lots of fun at the Farmer's Market. One goes all out for October, with a huge corn maze (standard maze during the daytime, haunted at night), hay rides, a huge pumpkin patch, etc. I need to remember to go to another one further south; they've got the best sweet apple cider I've ever tasted.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.
