I was doing the outside trash at work today (in 90-degree temps 
), when a male customer came over as I was trying to wrestle one bag into another. At first, I thought he just wanted to drop an additional piece of trash in, so I held it open for him, but it turns out he wanted to hold open one side of the bag so I could more easily slide the other bag inside. 
I thanked him for his generosity (while telling him to wash his hands when he got home), and felt my spirits lifted for the rest of my shift.
