This morning a woman came into the store with a kid aged around 4-5. The kid started handling the chocolate bars on the bottom shelf. The mother said "Don't touch that darling" and the kid put his hands in his pockets! And they stayed there until he got out of the store! Wooooooo!

When I worked at Little C's in a Big K (hah, I just noticed the pun!), we had a value meal for kids; 1 small slice with 2 crazy bread sticks, 1 small soda and a free cookie. It was an extra quarter if you wanted to upgrade for an icee.
Every now and then, you'd get the well behave kid in line who said 'please' and 'thank you'. I'd be SO impressed (hey, its Big K, we had a lot of entitled mammas AND devil spawns) I'd automatically give them an extra cookie...or a free icee.
The 'upgrades' were so far and few between, my manager never did anything about it. Hell, she once gave away FOUR cookies to one little kid who helped an elderly lady pick up items she dropped and even when ordered his meal said "please" and "thank you".
^.^
I love toll house sugar cookies."The problem isn't usually that there are stupid people in the world as much as it is that the stupid people like to call or come in and point out how stupid they are to the working public" -Justa

Train them young, let them know good behavior gets rewarded, and hopefully, they won't grow up to become the SCs we all know and loathe!
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.
