  • A customer that understood!

Had nice lady come in, wants 12 pack of beer. Wants to pay with credit card. (Crap I think, belive it or not, the only people who hate more then showing ID for beer, are the people who need to show it for Credit Cards).

No problem she says. She shows it to me.

Names don't match. (Crap I'm thinking, now going to have a lady bitch at me for saying no).

She tells me its her boyfriend, but understands. She leaves, comes back momentary with her boyfriend, who shows his ID).

They both were cool with it.

I'm still in shock. I'm so used to people screaming, crying, throwing crap, making threats over ID, that.... to have people understand, and be cool with it, and even THANK me?

    I'm... wow.

When I worked at Weis, I had one customer come in and ask me where something was while I was on my break. I wasn't too happy about it, but I decided 'what the hell, I'll help him out.' Ten minutes later, my sup sees me helping this guy, and asks me if I'm almost done. At this point I still have no idea where the stuff this guy is looking for is. I tell him I have no idea and ask him where to look for it. He told me where, and then told me I could consider my break to not have happened yet and take it when I wanted to. The customer was like "Oh! It's you're break? I'm so sorry. I didn't know. I can find it myself, it isn't a problem." I stayed, and helped him anyway, then went back to work at the front end. The customer came up after finishing shopping, and thanked me personally, plus he slipped me a tip! One of my best days at weis, as a customer or an employee.
